DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS AND FINANCE

FLSA Job Status: Exempt
Education/Licensure: Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Healthcare, or Business with three years’ experience in accounting/bookkeeping; including non-profit grant reporting and three years’ experience supervising staff.  Master’s degree preferred.  Must have experience or education in revenue cycle management, clinic operations, and financial management.  Must be fluent in English, spoken and written.

I.ORGANIZATIONAL SUMMARY
A. Reports to: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
B. Key Working Relationships: Practitioners, Medical Support Staff, Mental Health Clinicians, and Administration
C. Primary Customer Groups: External Practitioners, Patients and their family members, and Vendors/Customers
D. Aged of Patients Served: All

III.JOB SUMMARY
  1. Schedule: Will have a flexible, full-time schedule that includes working some Saturdays.
  2. Duties:
  1. Responsible for maintaining the smooth, efficient functioning of clinic operations.
  2. Responsible for maintaining legal compliance with all regulatory requirements, including developing, maintaining and administering required regulatory training schedules for all staff, maintaining all records for OSHA, maintaining worker’s compensation records, and updating and maintaining appropriate policies and procedures in alignment with The Joint Commission and other accreditation standards.
  3. Responsible for keeping IFHS current and compliant with building fire inspections and life safety code inspections.
  4. Participate in the development of the budget with the CEO as well as revenue enhancement and expense management strategies.
  5. Directly oversee purchasing, payroll, Accounts Receivables (A/R), revenue cycle, and insurance activities.
  6. Responsible for timely preparation and accuracy of all financial statements and grant reporting.
  7. Responsible for all bank reconciliations with review and approval of the CEO.
  8. Review daily accounting reports and perform internal audits for accuracy of work.
  9. Ensure all legal and regulatory documents are filed and monitor compliance with laws and regulations.
  10. Other duties as assigned by CEO.
 
IV.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  1. Hearing: within normal limits with or without use of corrective devices
  2. Visions: adequate to read 12-point font type with or without corrective lenses
  3. Must be able to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing with staff, patients and the general public
  4. Must have manual dexterity of hands/ fingers for  frequent writing, computer work, filing and assisting with procedures
  5. Must be able to occasionally lift, push or pull up to 50lbs
  6. Must be able to subject to prolonged sitting, standing or walking

IFHS will be closed from noon to 1:00 PM, Monday through Friday only.
IFHS OPENS AT 9:30 AM the third Wednesday of each month due to our all-staff meeting.
